Infrastructure Grant Program (IGP)

Why the IGP Matters

The Child Care & Development Infrastructure Grant Program (IGP) is a grant program administered by the California Department of Social Services in partnership with the Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF).

Grants are awarded to eligible child care providers, including both center-based and family-based programs, to improve the quality and expand the capacity of their facilities. A total of $300.5 million has been allocated for all current funding.

While this program has positively impacted many child care providers, families, and young children, there is still a great need to secure more funding for early care and education facilities to expand the benefits to more providers. Build Up California advocates for the continued funding of the IGP. To learn more about the IGP and its impact, click here.

IGP Fact Sheets

These fact sheets are intended to serve as advocacy tools, demonstrating the county-level impact of the IGP and highlighting the persistent need for further investment in ECE facilities. Please note that providers in Alpine County and Mono County did not compete for any IGP funding.
